Damn i got the same problem with this one...don´t understand any word. The only thing i know is that this guys can play.  14 songs in just about a half an hour, catchy fast and full of great refrains. Another good point, they just play skinheadmusic without any red banner shit like many new bands from italy.

Google translator helps a little bit so i think most of the songs are about the scene, drinking and just having a good time. Vaffancule and also Coglione which means lick my ass and asshole is a statement, these guys chose the direct way to make a stand against their enemies. "Torno a casa" leaves a little bit of western feeling in my heart....maybe i should watch The Good, The Bad and The Ugly again.  My favorite song is "Non Passa Mai", full of passion, melody and a great ska part.

Brutti E Ignoranti is the faint hope that italy is not that left-flooded like i felt in the last years. So come on skinheads from Rome,Milan, Torino and so on, fuck off politics and get back to your roots. The album was released on Rebellion Records(DigipackCD and LP)

Maraboots - Dans La Nuit(2013) - Review

Maybe i should go to school again or make a french course as well...Maraboots is such a great band, but i don´t understand what they are singing about. First time i heard of them, was on the split with the german legends Stomper 98. And their sound really compares with them, especially the saxophone parts.

My favorite song? Everyone(ok if you really wanna know...Heros de la Oi is outstanding). Songs i don´t like? No one. Maraboots is beyond any doubt the best french Oi-Band in the last 10 years. Hope to hear from them again and again and again.....

Very short review, but it´s easier to write more about bad releases than good ones. "Dans La Nuit" is a must have Vinyl! Nothing more to say

Bronco Army - Young Warriors EP(2012) - Review

Templars,45 Adapters and Sydney Ducks, these are the bands i was thinking of, when i started with this EP.
Bronco Army comes directly from the streets of Sao Paulo, and their sound is really rough and low-fi.

The first song is about becoming a skinhead, with some female vocals in the background.  "Are you with us" is an announcement to the whole scene, take it serious or get the fuck out of it. The B-Side starts with a song about the music THEY!!! love(come on guys...Kill Baby Kill...i hope Dieter burns in hell). The last one is a cover from the 1968 movie "Wild In The Streets" which i´ve never heard of before.

Sry guys but this one is not my cup of tea. Don´t like the sound and the Kill Baby Kill thing...EP was released on Stratum Records.

Badlands - World Of Pain EP(2013) - Review

Fuck yes!!! After long years of waiting and the first teaser with two acoustic songs on the EP Capital of Spirit they are back. Badlands ladies and gentleman, with one of the best singers(not just in the Punk/Oi scene) i´ve ever heard.So much melody, so much passion....if we we were in Whatsapp i could paint some heart smilies.....ok enough.

Unfortunately it´s just a 2 Song EP, but better 2 fantastic songs than nothing. On the first side, we have "Open Road", a song about corruption in government and the greed in the business which destroys everything so we have to go our own way. It´s maybe a rocky road but the right one. "Way Of The World" is a very melancholic song about the world be live in today. Painful, dark and full of hate, not the best future for our kids. Viktor´s voice is just perfect for songs like this one.

Ok as a Badlands fan i just have to say......Buy or die!!!! The EP was released on Rebellion Records in different colors

To be a antiracist skinheadband in russia is not the easiest way to live. Kids Of The Streets from Moskau is 100% proud of that. Fighting against the big naziscene in their homecountry is their mission. And they shout it out loud and agressive. So put up your volume mates.

The music is a little bit of  Street Dogs, Cock Sparrer and a good piece of  Rockn Roll. Sounds like a band from the streets of Boston, the feeling is supported by the singer....of course his english is better than mine hehe.

The 12 songs vary in their sound and speed, on one side we have typical streetpunk songs, like "Headshot" or the smasher "A Good day" on the other we got the folkballad "Tales of the Honour" and the folkpunksong "Boris".  Nothing bores me more than songs which sound all the same. So big plus for the russian guys. The lyrics are....well what do you expect from a antiracist skinheadband? Ok so nothing more to say.

Last words for this one? Hmm good album but not the best i heard the last years from russia. They should work on their lyrics for the next one, the music is already on a good level. Release was on Aggrobeat in 2013(digipack)

Well when you talk about the european skinheadscene, greece is not one of the first countries you think about. Maybe you know Bootstroke or Soberphobia, but thats it.

Ten Beers After comes from Athens and was founded in 2011. Their style is a mixture of Punk,Oi and catchy melodies. Unfortunately 8 of their 10 songs are in english, i like bands singing in their native language as well!! 

The Songs have typical lyrics, nothing new but nice played old school stuff about drinking, solidarity and the daily problems of the scene. I got two favorites on this one, "Bootboy Rockn Roll" is a very melodic song about the good times having with your friends. Break out of the daily routine, live for now till the morning comes!!! "Aytee Oi Mepee" is one of the songs on the album in greek and sounds just great, with the singalongs, the drum-part and of course the language.

Hope to hear more from this guys in the future,maybe with some more songs in greek. The release was on Rebellion Records in 2012 and limited to 250 copies.

Nachdem ich ja schon bei der letzten Scheibe der Südtiroler schwer begeistert war, gehts beim neuen Album nochmal nen Tacken mehr nach vorne. Irgendwie noch besser abgemischt, noch zackiger noch mehr....ich sag mal auf den Punkt gebracht.Fast so wie der Bandname, der is jetzt nämlich nur noch ROS.

Wie auch schon auf dem Vorgänger gibts stark an die New Yorker Szene orientierten Streetpunk, wobei die HC-Kante noch ausgeprägter is. Mehr Chöre, mehr Tempo, mehr von Allem. Ohne allerdings den Blick auf gute Texte zu vergessen. "Wish & Hope" ist ein Appell an die Vernunft und die Hoffnung auf eine friedliche und soziale Welt, auch wenn es aktuell mehr denn je nach Ungerechtigkeit,Krieg und Korruption ausschaut, man darf niemals resignieren. Auch in "Full Speed Ahead" geht es um unseren zerstörenden Lebensstil, der unsere Welt auf der wir Leben immer mehr Richtung Abgrund treibt. Die weiteren Songs sind ebenfalls sehr sozialkritisch und bohren tief  in einigen Wunden, die auch unsere Szene betreffen.

Aus Südtirol kommt auch gute Musik, das beweisen ROS einmal mehr. Die Scheibe is limitiert auf 500 Stück und wurde auf Steeltown Records veröffentlicht. Definitiv ne sympatische Band und die Kaufempfehlung is ausgesprochen!!

Asas Da Vingança - Same EP(2013) - Review

Here we have a new band from Faro,Portugal called Asas de Vinganca. The portuguese oiscene is really small so that the singer from Faccao Opposta is on the drums here. It´s their first EP and i hope not the last one.

These guys play really hard and rough oi with some hardcore influences. Singer André remembers me on the great Garotos Podres from brasil, one of my favorites. On this debut EP we got 3 Songs, first ones in portuguese and the last one in english. My portuguese is like my afrikaans, i don´t understand any word, but the songs are really powerful, agressive with songalongs and guitar solos. The only english song "Skinhead Attitude" is a song about.....well read the title idiot hehe.

Nice debut by these guys, hope to hear more from them in the future. Maybe they should start a german tour with Faccao Opposta and Nucleo Duro, would be a nice evening. The EP was released on Bigorna Records and is limited to 200 copies(red cover with red vinyl and green cover with black vinyl) and already sold out i think. But have a look on discogs or ebay. Maybe .....

Die Deutschrockwelle scheint nicht abzuebben. Überall in der Republik spriessen Bands wie Pilze aus dem Boden, einige ungeniessbar andere durchaus lecker.  Zur 2ten Kategorie kann man ohne Weiteres KollisionsKurs aus Sachsen-Anhalt zählen. "Unser Weg"  ist der erste Output, der 2011 gegründeten Kombo rund um Frontschwein Stewn.

Den Auftakt macht der Song "Neues Level", der schon mal andeutet das es der Band nicht an nem guten Ego mangelt. Weiter gehts mit "Charakterlos", für mich direkt der beste Song des ganzen Albums. Das Tempo wird ordentlich angezogen und allen unkreativen Abzockern und Kopierern ein dickes Fuck Off entgegen geschmettert. Der  Titelsong "Unser Weg" ist eine ziemlich Pathos beladener Ode an die Fans der Band und an sich selber, für mich der einzige kleine Ausfall auf diesem Debüt. Weitere Highlights sind auf jeden Fall "Menschenfeind", der Titel sagt schon alles, sowie der abschliessende Knaller "Richtung Freiheit"  der uns die traumhafte Aussicht auf das bietet, was wir leider in unserer heutigen Welt viel zu selten verspüren können.

KollisionsKurs startet direkt von 0 auf 100 in Richtung Deutschrock-Spitze. Ganz im Gegensatz zu vielen anderen neuen Bands der letzten 1-2 Jahre haben die Jungs wirklich innovative Ideen zu bieten, und lassen das Album wie im Fluge vergehen. Wer sich selber überzeugen will, kann die Scheibe direkt bei der Band für nen 10er erwerben.

Ok jetzt wirds eng bei mir....deutschsprachiger Punkrock ging bis auf wenige Ausnahmen(But Alive...,Slime) komplett an mir vorbei. Aus diesem Grund ist mir Sperrzone aus Torgau nicht wirklich ein Begriff. Die Band gibts nun schon seit ca 20 Jahren in denen sie schon einige Platten veröffentlicht haben, wie gesagt ohne mein Wissen.

Tja und leider kann ich mit dieser Platte nichts anfangen. Klar die Texte heben sich von billigen Deutschpunksampler Bands mit ihren billigen Sauf Steineschmeiss und Anarcho Texten ab, trotzdem ist das einfach not my Cup of Tea. 1-2 Ausnahmen sind dann zwar dabei, wie zb. das ganz okaye "Mobilmachung", das sich mit dem täglichen Kampf gegen den Faschismus befasst, dabei aber auch keine neuen Pfade beschreitet. Der beste Song ist bezeichnenderweise ein Cover der Amirecken von Those Unknown."Bound For Glory" auf der beiliegenden 6-Song CD. Ansonsten bleibt bei mir auch beim zweiten und dritten Durchlauf der  LP und BonusCD nichts hängen. Sry ich bin vll einfach der falsche Reviewer für diese Platte.

Aussie Aussie Rockn Roll und zwar mit 250kmh direkt in deine Gehörgänge. The Corps sind neben Marching Orders die Aushängeschilder aus Down Under. Know The Code ist bereits das vierte Album der umtriebigen Combo aus Sydney. Im Gegensatz zu ihren Kollegen aus Sydney setzen die Jungs allerdings mehr auf Härte und straight to face Lyrics

Eben diese Attitüde spiegelt sich direkt im Opener "Talk is over" wieder, in der es um eine zünftige Kneipenschlägerei geht, vorgetragen von Sänger Alex, der mit seiner elfengleichen Stimme sofort die Herzen erwärmt.....oder so änhlich. Weiter gehts auf der A-Site mit dem Song "Fortune", das Glück ist halt am häufigsten den Tüchtigen vorbehalten. Auf der B-Site erwarten einen dann die meiner Meinung nach besten Songs dieser Scheibe. Der Titelsong ist ein absoluter Überhammer, Gassenhauer und was weiss ich nich noch alles. Er setzt sich kritisch mit der Szene und deren Gedanken und Vorverurteilungen gegenüber Quertreibern und Freidenkern auseinander. Eben solche die nicht dem Klischee entsprechen und trotzdem dazu gehören. Im Herzen Jung geblieben, dank harter Rockmusik, das ist der Leitsatz zu "Angry Young Man". Also für alle die denken irgendwann ist man zu alt dafür, der Song ist der Gegenbeweis.Zum Schluss wirds dann nochmal richtig geil. "The Chase" widmet sich den ganzen Nachteulen und Menschen, die einfach nicht wissen, wann die Nacht zu Ende ist. Da ich selbst so eine Phase in meinem Leben hatte, ist er wahrscheinlich mein Nummer 1 Song auf dieser Scheibe.

Puuh da muss man erstmal durchatmen. Ich muss zugeben, dass ich mit der Platte in den ersten Durchgängen nicht so richtig warm geworden bin. Erst nach und nach hat mich Know The Code gepackt. Das Ding rockt!!!! Erschienen auf Contra Records, mit einer Auflage von grade mal 500 Exemplaren
