White Terror(Review)

Last but not least, hier nun der 3. Teil der Schweizer Dokureihe über die Skinheadgemeinde. Im letzten Teil kommt der unschöne aber wichtige Part der Aufklärung. Daniel Schweizer taucht ganz tief in die Abgründe der Naziszene ab und trifft sich mit Szenegrössen auf der ganzen Welt.

Am schockierendsden ist für mich das Treffen mit Jäsä, einem schwedischen Neonazi der für die sogenannten Kriegsberichter Videos zuständig ist. Was einem da an geballter Dummheit und stumpfem Hass entgegenschlägt passt auf keine Kuhhaut mehr.In den USA trifft Schweizer auf bekannte Hohlbirnen wie Billy Roper(White revolution), Richard Butler(Aryan Nations) und auch Tom Metzger(WAR). Das Interview wird aber zur Farce, da der gutmütige Mann wohl nen bisschen Kohle für seine Scheisse erwartet hat. Im letzten Teil geht es dann rüber nach Russland, wo die Gewaltbereitschaft am höchsten ist und auch vor Morden nicht zurückgeschreckt wird.

Starker und beeindruckender Abschluss der Reihe. Sunny Bastards gilt der Dank, das dieses wichtige Material nicht im Nachtprogramm von ARTE verschwunden ist.

Skinhead Attitude(Review)

Nachdem ich die ersten beiden Dokus von Daniel Schweizer ja ziemlich verrissen habe, gibt es nun eine wirklich brauchbare Szenestudie des Filmemachers. Skinhead Attitude beschäftigt sich mit der weltweiten Skinheadszene mit sämtlichen Auswüchsen. Glücklicherweise kommen dieses mal auch Protagonisten zu Wort, die nicht nur ans saufen und rumprollen denken. Laurel Aitken,Buster Bloodvessel oder auch der alte waliser Roddy Moreno(Frontsau The Oppressed) plaudern aus dem Nähkästchen. Immer wieder untermalt mit Musik,Liveausschnitten usw. Der rote Faden in diesem Filmchen ist allerdings das 22 jährige Reneegirl Karola, die durch die ganze Welt tourt um Leute aus der Szene zu treffen.

Natürlich wird auch der dunkle Teil nicht ausgespart. Es stehen einem wirklich die nicht vorhandenen Haare zu Berge, wenn man den vereinten Stumpfsinn in Schweden oder auch den USA betrachtet. Verblendete Nazis, die unseren Kult besudeln wird es wohl leider immer geben, es ist an uns sie so klein wie möglich zu halten.In White Terror, dem 3. Teil der DokuReihe befasst sich Schweizer dann ausschliesslich mit den Hohlbirnen.

Wer die DVD noch nicht im Schrank, sollte das mal so langsam nachholen. Erschienen ist der Silberling auf Sunny Bastards.

The 3rd release, which Ben from UVPR sent me for reviewing, is the best in my opinion. The Headliners are from Nantes and fuckin hell this one is absolutely great. "Too Young To Fall To Fall In Love" is not a classic oi album as well, many poppy and melodic parts, sometimes going into poppunk realms.

Don´t know how to find the right words  for the sound of this band,but it remembers me of Perkele, Gimp Fist with a pinch of  the unfortunately splitted Vanilla Muffins. But it´s too easy to compare the guys with other bands, they got their own style and sound which got me in the first seconds.The lyrics are full of great messages, like in "Don´t cross the line", which is one of the best songs i heard in the last 5 or 10 years. You'll soon sort out it's all fucked-up Routine, will shortly disrupt. Just be a man at least one day in yer low-down life. Just pull the trigger and please do not think fuckin twice.

This one is a must must must buy, for all of you, thats a command, not an option. It would be a shame if this band will be unheared by the scene. So please support them, you won´t have any regret.

And here´s another new band from France with their first longplayer. The Daltonz are from Caen the capital of Basson-Normandie. The sound of this band has nothing to do with Modsound. as you can except cause of the albumtitle or cover.

12 songs full of catchy melodies, addicted to the french classics from the 80´s, thats the Daltonz sound. The album is splitted in english and french songs, so it´s hard to say something about the lyrics of the french songs. Overall it´s about the oiscene and all their problems, lies, the fucking system, and the solidarity in the scene. It´s like you get back to the old times with all the great bands from france, like Camera Silens, Komintern Sect and many more.

Really great album, released on CD and LP on  UVPR in 2012. For fans of the new upcomming french scene a must buy.
